Welcome to the Cutest Kid Contest’08!
Do you have the cutest kid in the Tri-Cities and Southwest Virginia? If so, here is your opportunity to enter them in the Cutest Kids Contest ’08.
Enter for a chance to have your child’s photo to appear in our “2009 Cutest Kids Calendar”! The top thirteen vote getters from this contest will all be featured! Winners will receive a professional photography shoot, from which photos will be chosen to print in the calendar. If your child was born on or after January 1, 2004, enter them today!
All proceeds benefit the Bristol Herald Courier and SWVA Community Group’s Newspapers in Education Program. A program that provides free newspapers to area teachers and schools to be used as a teaching supplement in classrooms.
How does it work?
1. Complete the photo submission form with a recent photo of your child along with your $10 entry fee. Photo should be 2" wide or larger and at least 300 dpi.
2. Submissions will be accepted through September 5, 2008. Each child’s photo will appear in a special section published in the Bristol Herald Courier, Washington County News, Smyth County News, Richlands News Press and Clinch Valley News on September 14, 2008.
3. Voting will begin September 15, 2008. Votes can be submitted online or through ballots available in the Cutest Kids special section. Anyone can vote for their favorite child with a 25¢ donation to Newspapers in Education. Voting ends on October 26, 2008.
4. Winners will be determined by the total number of votes. There will be one overall winner whose photo will be published on the front cover of the calendar. Twelve additional top winners will be placed, one each, on the 12 months of the 2009 Calendar. Remaining top vote recipients with at least 100 votes will be placed in the daily calendar squares.
